Completed in 2011, this is the largest tidal power station in the world. Located on Sihwa Lake in South Korea this station can produce 254 MW.
First and only tidal generating station in North America. Located in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, Canada, this station has a 20 MW capacity.
The world's third largest tidal power station. This 3,000 KW plant is located in Wenling City, China.
This is the most powerful tidal stream generator in the world and also the first large scale commercial generator. The first SeaGen was installed in the Strangford Narrows in Northern Ireland in 2008. This one unit can generate 1.2 MW for most of the day.
The Roosevelt Island Tidal Energy project, started by Verdant Power, plans to have 30 tidal turbines in the East River in New York at 2015. It is estimated this station will have a capacity of 1.05 MW.
